1. Places I have visited

Tennessee 2009 Vacation

Frank and I traveled to Kingsport, TN to visit friends and family. While there, we did some sight-seeing to Bays Mountain State Park, Ft. Patrick Henry Dam and Boone Dam. We also toured the East Hills Cemetary, which dates back to the 1850"s and is still in use today. Most of all, we enjoyed the drive and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Cheryl Lynn West, June 2009

The East Hills Cemetery is still in use today, with this being one of the more current graves.
Allandale Mansion, dubbed the “White House of Kingsport," was built in 1949. The name of the house is derived from Allan, a reference to Roan Allan F-38 [a leading Tennessee Walking horse], and the old English word dale, meaning peaceful valley.

Allandale Mansion Quilting Barn, in Kingsport, is one of the stops along the Appalachian Quilt Trail.
