Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge

Welcome to the Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge. Staff and volunteers work, caring for injured and orphaned native species wildlife, with the goal to release them back into the wild.
Donations can be received on site and by mail, through the refuge website, smug mug, cans for critters (aluminum can collection), fundraisers (refuge effort and from citizens, groups or schools that want to help us raise money) from matching funds from businesses, from wills or trusts left to us (if you haven't thought about that), Corporate donors and regular supporters. Much more is needed to help us continue our mission, won't you help us by purchasing an item(s) through castlephotoanddesigns.smugmug.com

  • The baby flickers are definitely singing for their supper. The front baby will not be able to be released back into the wild. He had his beak cut off by a lawnmower and unfortunately is missing too much of it to adapt.
